Gratitude That Lasts Longer Than a Moment

Gratitude That Lasts Longer Than a Moment

Peace for the Week: Gratitude That Lasts Longer Than a Moment

Scripture:

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (ESV)

Reflection:

Thankfulness often rises in response to something good such as a warm meal, a kind word, a quiet evening. But gratitude lingers even when the moment passes. It’s the quiet confidence that God is still present, still providing, still good. Gratitude doesn’t wait for everything to go right; it grows roots in the moment.

Thank You Lord (ft. Thomas Rhett & Florida Georgia Line)

Application:

Thankfulness ponders, "I'm glad for this."  Gratitude whispers, "God is still good, even when this is hard." Pause for a moment this week to notice one area of your life that hasn’t gone as planned and whisper, “God, thank You that You are still here with me.” Let that become your reminder that gratitude lasts longer than the good moments.

Encouragement:

Peace deepens when your gratitude outlives the circumstance.
