Strength in Stillness

Strength in Stillness

Peace for the Week:  Strength in Stillness

Scripture:

“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Reflection:

Stillness can feel impossible when life is full of responsibilities and uncertainties. Yet God gently reminds us that peace is not found in doing more, but in trusting Him. When we release our grip on control, we make space to remember who He is—faithful, powerful, and always present.

Application:

Take a few quiet moments this week, even if it’s just while the house is still in the early morning or late evening. Breathe slowly and repeat the words: “You are God, and I am held.”

(Breathe in through your nose for a count of three:  "You are God..." hold for a count of three; breathe out slowly through your mouth a count of three: "...and I am held." Repeat the process as many times as desired.)

Let this simple act of stillness steady your soul and renew your strength.

Encouragement:

In the quiet, God is at work. You don’t have to strive, just be still, and let His strength carry you through.
